I Survived Black Friday

So you may be asking, "What is Black Friday?" Well, it's the day after Thanksgiving and it is one of the major U.S. holiday shopping days. Black Friday was when retailers went from being unprofitable - in the red, to being profitable - in the black.

My husband and I planned our morning last night by thumbing through all the retail fliers. We planned on being at Wal-Mart by 4:30am. So, that meant getting up way too early. Luckily we were able to get what we wanted. Next we went to Kohl's and then Target. I made it back home in time to get a little sleep before I opened my shop. Yawning...

It's amazing what people do to save a penny. People were even arguing over toys this morning at Target.

Thanksgiving Day was wonderful! We spent part of the day with my husband's family and the next part with my family. I ate too much! But who doesn't! I have to say my most favorite dish is the sweet potato casserole. Yummy! Wow, just thinking about it is making me hungry.

  1. I avoid that day after Thanksgiving shopping thing like the plague! I have a deep seated fear of being trampled by the herd LOL. I think I went shopping on 'black friday' once, in about 1986 at K-Mart.
